Kirksville Arts Center

The Kirksville Arts Association hosts a number of exhibits in their gallery throughout the year. The Arts Association also provides art programs for the community, and hosts both the “Summer on the Square” concert series and the annual autumn Red Barn Arts & Crafts Festival.  Additionally, the Kirksville Community Chorus, Orchestra, and Band, as well as the Kirksville Film Circle, are affiliated with the Kirksville Arts Association.  The gallery itself is available to rent, and is a popular venue for many events.

The University Art Gallery is located on the ground floor of the Ophelia Parrish Building at Truman State University. The gallery is open to the public Monday-Friday during the academic year with various shows by students and professional artists throughout the year.

Round Barn

The Round Barn features nationally known blues performers as well as area talent (see Curtain Call Theater).  The upper floor of the barn has over 3200 square feet of performance space and a concession area.  See details on the Round Barn facebook page.

Truman State University offers a wide variety of musical performances open to the public. Talented students and faculty, as well as outstanding guest musicians, make the free concerts offered by the University a treat!  The 500 seat Ophelia Parrish Performance Hall is home to over 230 performances each year, as well as music competitions, festivals, and symposiums.  Contact music@truman.edu for more information.
