Covid-19 Info/Updates/Closures

As much as we try, Kirksville Tourism Office may not be aware of all cancelled or postponed events.  Please verify your activity or event first by calling ahead or checking a website.

Event & Venue Information

Steel Magnolias, a Kirksville Parks & Rec theater production, has cancelled all dinner shows and matinees.

Missouri Department Conservation (MDC) Interpretive & Visitors Center (660-785-2420) is closed to visitors and programs through April 15.

Thousand Hills State Park trails remain open, all other facilities, special use areas, playgrounds, and concessionaire is closed. Campground closed until April 30.

A.T.Still University  (660-626-2121) has cancelled all campus visits, the campus is closed to the public, and the Museum of Osteopathic Medicine is closed to the general public.

Truman State University (660-785-4100) is suspending all in-person classes and events for the remainder of the Spring semester. (May 8).  There will be no in-person campus visits and no Showcase events during this time.  University offices will continue to be staffed and faculty members will be instructed by their academic departments on how to proceed. Pickler Memorial Library, the Student Recreation Center, Pershing Arena, and the Robison Planetarium will remain closed.  Visitors are strongly encouraged not to visit the campus as several buildings will be closed.

Kohlenburg Lyceum – The Step Crew  scheduled for March 27 on Truman Campus has been cancelled.  The Lyceum series will begin again in the Fall, 2020.

Adair County Public Library  will be closed through March 31 (660-665-6038).

Adair County Family YMCA has closed their facility and cancelled all programs through March 29. (660-665-1922)

Kirksville Arts Gallery is closed (660-665-0500) .

MO Dept of Conservation cancels most programs and events through April 15 (660-785-2420).

Charley’s Aunt , a Curtain Call Theater production, will be rescheduled for a later date.

TriFahl Race, has been cancelled.

Restaurant Information

State and Federal Guidelines recommend carry out or curbside pickup from restaurants.  Several Kirksville restaurants are offering carry out, curbside pickup, delivery, and limited hours.   Please call ahead to your restaurant of choice and verify all information.
