In January of 2017, the men of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity from Truman State voted to start a philanthropy event focusing on teaching hunter safety to youth in Adair County. A partnership was formed with the National Wild Turkey Federation Kirksville – Ridge Runners Chapter. With the support of the Kirksville Ridge Runners, Alpha Gamma Rho’s initial vision came into fruition. Adair County’s first JAKES Day will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 8:00 – 12:00.¬†

A parent must accompany their child(ren). A $10 fee will go towards a JAKES membership. This membership includes a quarterly magazine subscription to the NWTF JAKES magazine.
