Sloth Trot 0.5k
June 29 @ 11:00 am - 11:00 pm$25
No Need to Slay, this isn’t a 5K. Kirksville’s shortest “race” with a sluggish pace! It’ll be a pretty lackadaisical day at Fort Chariton.
Anyone want to run a marathon in June?!? No? Well, frankly, not us either. We like to experience life in slow motion. But that doesn’t mean our fellow slackers, underachievers, and idlers can’t have some fun too! Kirksville Area Habitat for Humanity would like to invite the community to join us for the first annual Sloth Trot 0.5K! Yes, you read that right….one half of a kilometer. (We think the course is approximately 500 yards, but we couldn’t be bothered to actually measure). It’s a race for the rest of us!
Stick around after the “race” for an afternoon of fun in Yarrow. Play bags, toss horseshoes, or enjoy the view of the Chariton River. Families are welcome as face painting, balloon animals, games, and water balloons.
Proceeds benefit the Habitat for Humanity. REGISTRATION LINK
