Description:The Kirksville Arts Center offers a variety of classes, presentations, and art shows throughout the year. Workshops in paper crafts, basket weaving, journal creation, fiber art, metalwork, and painting are just a few among the many offered, and an “Art in the Park” summer series for children. Description:One of Truman State University’s oldest traditions, the Kohlenberg Lyceum Series provides a unique opportunity to experience cultural presentations you would typically expect to find only in a big city. The Lyceum Series broadens the cultural experience for students and the community by bringing well-known speakers, dance troupes, musicians and other performers from all parts of the world to the Truman campus. Description:The Kirksville Arts Association hosted a number of exhibits in their gallery throughout the years. The Arts Association also provides art programs for the community, and hosts both the “Summer on the Square” concert series and the annual autumn Red Barn Arts & Crafts Festival. Additionally, the Kirksville Community Chorus, Orchestra, and Band, as well as the Kirksville Film Circle, are affiliated with the Kirksville Arts Association.
Truman State University Art Gallery

Description:The University Art Gallery is located on the ground floor of the Ophelia Parrish Building at Truman State University. The gallery is open to the public Monday-Saturday during the academic year with various shows by students and professional artists throughout the year. Gallery Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Friday 8:30am – 5:00 p.m. Saturday Noon – 4:30 p.m. Please note, the University Art Gallery is closed between exhibitions and during all Truman State University breaks.

Description:Truman State University offers a wide variety of musical performances open to the public. Talented students and faculty, as well as outstanding guest musicians, make the free concerts offered by the University a treat! The 500 seat Ophelia Parrish Performance Hall is home to over 230 performances each year, as well as music competitions, festivals, and symposiums.
